The Rams defeated their Cumbrian opponents 22-20 on the day, and the victory meant that Dewsbury moved up to 9th in the division. Thornhill Trojans continued their strong run at the top of the National Conference League Division One table with a 40-18 win against Shaw Cross Sharks. Ash Berry, Nathan Wright and Dec Naughton scored tries for the visitors, and Ryan Chalkley added three conversions, as the Sharks produced a much-improved display following the heavy defeat they suffered when the two sides met earlier in the year. Dewsbury Rams mascot Roger the Ram visited Orchard Primary school, schools fete on Wednesday afternoon. Pupils from the school and people from the local community had the chance to meet Roger and have their picture taken with him. On Roger being at the event and the fete itself, Orchard primary school teacher Rebecca Ada was pleased with how the afternoon went. She also believes it is vital that the Rams and the local community have a close connection. The Rams defeated the Raiders 22-20 on the day, and Kelly had this to say on the performance: “After last week’s disappointing defeat to Swinton, we were flirting with dropping into the bottom two, so the game against Barrow was all about the result. “It was never going to be an attractive game, but it was all about getting more points than Barrow.
