Dewsbury Rams mascot Roger the Ram visited Orchard Primary school, schools fete on Wednesday afternoon.

Pupils from the school and people from the local community had the chance to meet Roger and have their picture taken with him.

On Roger being at the event and the fete itself, Orchard primary school teacher Rebecca Ada was pleased with how the afternoon went. She also believes it is vital that the Rams and the local community have a close connection.

She said: “We’d like to thank the club and Roger for coming to our event and helping to make it a great afternoon, we’d love for him to come again.

“I think it is very important that the Rams are involved in the local community and that the community supports the club. These kind of encounters help as it gets kids into sport and rugby.”

We’d like to thank Orchard primary for inviting Roger down to the school fete.
