Dewsbury Rams newly announced assistant head coach Jack Howieson is ready to get started at the Rams. Howieson a former Sheffield Eagles players, played in South Yorkshire for 13 seasons and eventually captained Mark Aston’s side. After retiring in 2013 he took a small break from the sport before being put in charge of League One side Hemel Stags. Nelmes re-signs for Rams
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that front rower Luke Nelmes has signed a new one year deal at the club. The 26 year old joined Dewsbury at the back end of last season. The former Halifax and Oldham player also helped out off the field, he played a key role in the success of the Rampage Camp that the club held. Having proved himself on and off the pitch, Lee Greenwood has rewarded Nelmes with a new contract. Magrin’s delight at joining the Rams
Dewsbury Rams new player Jon Magrin is eager to get going at the club after agreeing a one year deal. Magrin has had spells at both London Broncos and Bradford Bulls and having played both at Super League and Championship level, the massive prop is ready to start and hit the ground running at the Tetley’s Stadium side. On joining the club he said: “I am originally from London and started in the academy at the London Broncos. I played 60 games for the club before signing for the Bradford Bulls in 2017. Dewsbury Rams can today confirm that Jack Howieson has become Lee Greenwood’s assistant head coach. The 38 year old has had a long and successful career. Having played for the Sheffield Eagles between 2001-2013 he played as a prop for the South Yorkshire side. Howieson also played in the 2008 World Cup for Scotland. He comes to the Rams bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. The former Eagle always had an interest in coaching, Howieson used to coach junior sides around the Hemel Hempstead area where he comes from. He has had coaching experience before having taken […]
Walton Signs for Rams
Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce the signing of 29 year old centre Jason Walton on a one year contract. Walton has played at the highest level of the sport having played for many clubs in the Betfred Super League. Having started his career at Salford he quickly moved on to Championship side Batley Bulldogs where he played over a 100 times for the club. After leaving Batley he went on to play for London Broncos, Wakefield Trinity and Featherstone Rovers.
