Walton Signs for Rams

Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce the signing of 29 year old centre Jason Walton on a one year contract.

Walton has played at the highest level of the sport having played for many clubs in the Betfred Super League. Having started his career at Salford he quickly moved on to Championship side Batley Bulldogs where he played over a 100 times for the club.

After leaving Batley he went on to play for London Broncos, Wakefield Trinity and Featherstone Rovers.

Walton is the latest player to join Lee Greenwood’s side for the upcoming 2020 campaign and we are excited to see the former Super League player now turned Ram in a Dewsbury shirt.

On Walton coming to the club, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “I’m really pleased to bring Jason in. He has had some bad luck with injuries over the last couple of seasons but this has helped him get some real appetite back for the game.

“We will work with him in pre-season to make sure he is in the best shape possible and 100% fit ready to go. He is a likeable lad and could be a real fans favourite in 2020.

“He adds quality to our squad and I’m looking forward to seeing him in Dewsbury colours.”
