Grassroots: Trojans on the road again, vital fixtures for Sharks, Moor and Celtic
Thornhill Trojans will aim to take another step towards securing promotion to the National Conference League Premier Division when they travel to face Ince Rose Bridge on Saturday. The Trojans head into the match on the back of an impressive win away at Skirlaugh, and victory away at strugglers Rose Bridge would maintain their spot at the top of the division. Thornhill Trojans head coach James Ratliffe has hailed the effort from his players following Saturday’s win away at Skirlaugh. The Trojans trailed at half-time but produced a superb display following the restart to keep their opponents scoreless and emerge big winners. “I’ve been here many times as a player and a coach and it’s not easy to come by wins, and I thought the lads did a thoroughly good job,” Ratcliffe told the Trojans Facebook page. “I think we gifted them points in the first half but we corrected that at half-time and we changed the way we were playing […]
Kelly reacts to Sheffield defeat
Head coach Neil Kelly provided the media with his thoughts following the defeat to Sheffield Eagles last Sunday. The Rams lost 30-28 on the day in what was a close encounter. We talked about potentially winning this game, and we scored 28 points possibly 30 if we had kicked that last goal. We did the same at Swinton and Barrow. “If you don’t tackle you don’t win games and we didn’t tackle. I was disappointed with the referee’s […]
