Our game against Sheffield Eagles which was postponed due to the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II will now take place on Wednesday 14th September, kick off at 19:30. The match which was originally scheduled to take place on Friday 9th September, postponed due to the announcement of Queen Elizabeth’s passing on Thursday evening, has now been re-arranged and will take place this Wednesday at the Olympic Legacy Park, kick-off 19:30. Tomorrow evening’s game against Sheffield Eagles at the Olympic Legacy Park has been postponed. A new date for the fixture will be confirmed as soon as possible.
WALKER RE-SIGNS FOR 2023
We are delighted to announce that Jackson Walker has re-signed for the Rams for the 2023 season! 21-year-old Walker who joined from local amateur side Dewsbury Moor ahead of the 2022 season had spells earlier on this year at both Cornwall and Hunslet before making his Rams debut under Liam Finn against Bradford at Odsal. Since then, he has made a further nine appearances for the Rams and become a firm fan favourite in that short space of time. SPEAKMAN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Dom Speakman has announced his retirement from Rugby League. Twenty-eight-year-old Speakman made his debut for St Helens in 2013 before stints with Rochdale, North Wales and Barrow followed and finally making his way to the Tetley’s Stadium in 2016. In his two stints with the Rams, he had become a firm favourite with the fans, playing over one hundred times and scoring twenty-seven tries. During this season he captained the side for the first time in our victory against Sheffield Eagles.
