Dewsbury Rams prop forward Tom Garratt has signed a new two year deal with the club. The contract will now run into 2021. Garratt who has stepped up from the amateur club level with Siddal is ready to go into the next few year with Dewsbury. Greenwood previews Widnes trip
Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood insists that his team is not just going to Widnes to make up the numbers, and that they are going their for the two points. The Rams will take on the Vikings for the first time since 2011, where the results that season were a draw and a loss for Dewsbury. The Rams drew with the Vikings 34-34 at the Tetley’s Stadium early on in the 2011 season, they then went and lost 36-22 over in Widnes at the back end of the campaign. He said of the loss: “It was disappointing as in we don’t like losing, we are looking at teams on a different level. There are still places available for the Amber Ribbon bus to Widnes. The Amber Ribbon are running a coach to our away game against Widnes on Sunday. The cost to travel with them is just £12. Pick up points are as follows. Hanging Heaton WMC 12PM Timepiece weatherspoons 12,15PM Mirfield Town centre by the Tesco 12,30PM The bus will be setting back off home one hour after the end of the game, 6pm.
