Swinton game called off
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that our game today against the Swinton Lions is postponed. A pitch inspection took place at 10.30am and it was decided that the game should be called off. A rearranged fixture against Swinton will be announced by both clubs in due course. The Rams next game is away at Halifax next weekend.

Reilly ready for Swinton
Dewsbury Rams player Martyn Reilly is ready to take on the Swinton Lions and try to get the team’s first win. Looking back at last Friday night’s opening weekend defeat to the Leigh Centurions 36-10 Reilly said: “The result didn’t I think reflect the performance if being honest. If it had been a 20-10 or 22-10 game that would have been more correct. They scored a few tries when the game had gone. “For 60 minutes we played well and got in their heads which is what we wanted to do. In the last 20 minutes a number of things […]

Preview: Swinton Lions

Stuart Littler’s squad are workmanlike and are prepared to put up a test and so Lee Greenwood is prepared for a challenge by the Lions on Sunday afternoon. Last weekend the Rams were defeated in their opening game on Friday night against the Leigh Centurions. Losing 10-36 the scoreline didn’t represent the effort, attitude […]

Grassroots: Thornhill give Doncaster a scare in the Challenge Cup
CORAL CHALLENGE CUP THIRD ROUND THORNHILL TROJANS 20 DONCASTER 24 It is difficult to write anything that does justice to the magnificent performance by Thornhill at The Tetleys Stadium last Saturday. Doncaster are a well resourced League One club playing out of the palatial Keepmoat stadium but it took them 53 minutes to take the lead against the Trojans & even then Thornhill retook the lead only for the Dons to score a heartbreaking last minute try to clinch a fourth round place. The Dons winning try was scored by Papua New Guinea international Watson Boas – the very same Watson Boas […]
