To celebrate the official unveiling of the ‘Mike Stephenson MBE Stand’ at Saturday’s game we put on some special activities both before and after the game. At 16:00 we’ll be opening the South Stand Turnstiles and Bar where we’ll have DJ Matt North performing a selection of the finest anthems in the sunshine and as we’re opening extra early we’ll be giving the first 50 lucky people through the South Stand turnstiles a FREE drink to celebrate the […]
FERGUSON STEPS DOWN AS HEAD COACH
We can today confirm that Dale Ferguson has resigned from his position as Head Coach of Dewsbury Rams. Ferguson said “I’d just to thank the players and the fans for their support, this hasn’t been an easy decision for me to make but at the moment I feel I can help more on the field as a player.” Assistant Coach Paul March has been promoted to the role of Head Coach until the end of the season. Ahead of the official unveiling of the newly renamed ‘Mike Stephenson MBE Stand’ before Saturday’s game against Toulouse we sat down with Stevo to talk about the occasion. “I’d just like to say that I feel truly honoured that the club has decided to re-name a stand after me, it’s genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve been awarded in rugby league and I’m including the Championship in 1973 and the World Cup in 1972 in that. After a disappointing result against Doncaster, the Rams returned to FLAIR Stadium with a new Head Coach in Paul March and a tricky set of fixtures ahead of them in May.
