Day targets flying start to Super 8s
Hooker Sam Day is eager for the Rams to make a quick start to the Super 8s. Dewsbury face Swinton, Batley, Sheffield and Barrow in the opening four weeks of their Championship Shield campaign, and Day sees no reason why the team can’t take maximum points. “Obviously, survival has to be the overall objective for us, but looking at the fixtures that came out this week I think we should be aiming to win the first four games, especially if we carry on the performances from recent weeks,” he said. “And if we can do that then we will climb […]

However, the Lions are in good form and recorded an impressive win against third-placed Castleford Lock Lane on their last outing. At the other end of the table, Shaw Cross Sharks face a crucial fixture in their battle for survival when Oulton Raiders are their visitors. Following a recent revival, the Sharks are up to […]

Rams more than capable of climbing the table, says Brown
Rams loose forward Aaron Brown believes the team is “more than capable” of beating the teams around them and climbing the table during the Super 8s. Dewsbury ended the regular season in ninth. They sit a point behind Sheffield and three adrift of seventh-placed Batley, ahead of this Sunday’s fixture against Swinton Lions. “As a squad, we are more than capable of beating any of the teams around us,” said Brown. “Definitely survival is the main priority, but hopefully we can get a couple of wins and kick on. “We have to be looking to get as far up the […]
