
FERGUSON NEW RAMS HEAD COACH
We are delighted to announce that Dale Ferguson is the new Head Coach of the Dewsbury Rams! The vastly experienced forward is a popular figure at FLAIR Stadium and will take up his first Head Coach role as we head back into the Betfred Championship in 2024. In a playing career spanning sixteen seasons Ferguson has featured for Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Featherstone and Hull KR, as well as representing Scotland twenty-two times, captaining his country at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. Due to recent isolated incidents at the club, we feel that at this point in time we must remind all of our supporters of the following. Anti-social behaviour, whether it be offensive, discriminatory, homophobic language or aggressive behaviour is not welcome at the club, this also applies when visiting other clubs. If such behaviour is reported and if a named individual is identified, this could lead to a ban being issued. Additionally, this behaviour could also lead to financial penalties against the club. The Rams’ top try scorer for 2023 Owen Restall was awarded the Amber Ribbon Player of the Year trophy from Amber Ribbon Chairman Charlie Coates. The Clubman of the Year award went to long-serving Player Liaison Officer Ray Abbey and was collected in his absence by Neil Coulson.
