FINN’S THOUGHTS AHEAD OF HALIFAX
Head Coach Liam Finn has given his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s Betfred Championship clash against Halifax. Reflecting on our last game against Bradford, Finn said “I thought the score line was very disappointing and harsh, but when things are going against you, they really do go against you. ANDYSMANCLUB AT THE TETLEY’S STADIUM SUNDAY
We are delighted to welcome local charity ANDYSMANCLUB to the Tetley’s Stadium for this weekend’s clash against Halifax Panthers. ANDYSMANCLUB are a Men’s Mental Health Charity, offering free-to-attend talking groups for men and challenging the stigmas around Male Mental Health. The charity was set up by former Rugby League professional Luke Ambler in 2016 and now host talking groups in over one hundred locations across the United Kingdom. Ahead of this weekend’s game Dewsbury players will be warming up in ANDYSMANCLUB t-shirts, whilst volunteers will be handing out wristbands and flyers with further information on. SMITH JOINS RAMS
We are today delighted to announce that former Great Britain player and Wakefield Coach Tony Smith has joined the club as Assistant Coach. Tony Smith who had a long and illustrious playing career for the likes of Castleford, Wigan and Hull FC joins the club on a deal until the end of the 2023 season. Smith played at scrum-half for Wigan in their 1998 Super League Grand Final victory and also played at international level representing both Great Britain and England, the latter in the 1995 Rugby League World Cup Final and at the 2000 World Cup. Panthers run in seven tries to complete a league double over the Rams at the Tetley’s Stadium. The visit of Halifax Panthers to the Tetley’s Stadium saw the first outing of the Rams under the new management team of Liam Finn and Tony Smith, but things didn’t get off to a promising start when Matty Gee scored first for the visitors, which was converted by Joe Keyes. The Rams battled back well however and levelled the game after twelve minutes when Calum Turner finished a fast, flowing move in the corner, which was converted well by Paul Sykes. The Rams […]
