Rams boss Neil Kelly says he could hand opportunities to players who have recently found themselves on the cusp of selection in tomorrow’s match against Whitehaven. Dewsbury Rams have confirmed the signing of Wales international scrum-half Danny Ansell. Ansell, 26, arrives at The Tetley’s Stadium on a contract until the end of the season after having previously joined Swinton Lions ahead of the 2018 campaign. The former Hunslet player, who is a product of the Stanley Rangers community club, was named in the Wales squad at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. Dewsbury Rams fullback Josh Guzdek says the players will approach Sunday’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup tie away at Whitehaven with a determination to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Toulouse. “We want to pick some confidence and momentum up again this weekend,” said Guzdek. “Cumbria is a tough place to go, but we know we can go there and get a good result. Dewsbury Rams head coach Neil Kelly remained positive about his players and the team’s prospects, despite a defeat to in-form Toulouse Olympique on Sunday.. The Rams lost 40-20 at home to the French club in the Betfred Championship, but Kelly believes that his side showed enough in the game to be positive about. Morton excited for future after agreeing new deal
Dale Morton has spoken exclusively to the official Rams website, after last week putting pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2019. The winger is currently in his sixth season with the Rams, after having joined ahead of the 2013 campaign from Wakefield Trinity.
