O’CONNOR RE-SIGNS FOR 2024
We are delighted to announce that Bailey O’Connor has re-signed for the Rams for 2024! The twenty-one-year-old who initially joined the club on trial at the start of the 2023 season, was a key part of last season’s title-winning side making seventeen appearances, scoring eight tries. Despite having received several offers from elsewhere he has decided to stay at FLAIR Stadium for our return to the Betfred Championship. RAMS ENTERING SECOND YEAR OF DEALS
Jimmy Beckett, Elliot Morris and Davey Dixon will all continue with the Rams in 2024 as they enter into the second year of two-year deals. The three players signed two-year deals ahead of the 2023 season and will be staying with the Rams as we head back into the Betfred Championship for 2024. Jimmy Beckett has quickly become a fans’ favourite since he arrived from Featherstone Rovers in 2021, making sixty appearances and scoring six tries. RAMS NOMINATED FOR AWARDS
We’re delighted to announce that Reiss Butterworth, Paul Sykes and Liam Finn have all been nominated for awards at the upcoming Rugby League Awards Night! We have two contenders for the prestigious Betfred League One Player of the Year Award – hooker and captain Reiss Butterworth and Paul Sykes, who made his senior debut way back in 1999 and has continued to pull the strings and kick goals from stand-off in his 25th season. Our third nominee is Liam Finn in the Coach of the Year category, recognising the influence of the former Ireland half-back as we bounced straight back […]
FERGUSON NEW RAMS HEAD COACH
We are delighted to announce that Dale Ferguson is the new Head Coach of the Dewsbury Rams! The vastly experienced forward is a popular figure at FLAIR Stadium and will take up his first Head Coach role as we head back into the Betfred Championship in 2024. In a playing career spanning sixteen seasons Ferguson has featured for Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Featherstone and Hull KR, as well as representing Scotland twenty-two times, captaining his country at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. Due to recent isolated incidents at the club, we feel that at this point in time we must remind all of our supporters of the following. Anti-social behaviour, whether it be offensive, discriminatory, homophobic language or aggressive behaviour is not welcome at the club, this also applies when visiting other clubs. If such behaviour is reported and if a named individual is identified, this could lead to a ban being issued. Additionally, this behaviour could also lead to financial penalties against the club. Any individual who makes personal attacks, threats, or comments/posts of a derogatory nature on the club’s official […]
GRAHAM RE-SIGNS FOR 2024
We are delighted to announce that Brad Graham has re-signed for the Rams for 2024! The twenty-two-year-old has made thirty-seven appearances in his two years with the Rams so far including nineteen last year when he finished as the club’s second highest try scorer with thirteen, including a hat-trick in the Betfred Challenge Cup against Rochdale.
