The Rams’ top try scorer for 2023 Owen Restall was awarded the Amber Ribbon Player of the Year trophy from Amber Ribbon Chairman Charlie Coates. Departing Head Coach Liam Finn’s message to the Rams supporters. After Liam Finn was confirmed as the new Halifax Panthers Head Coach for 2024, he had the following message for the Dewsbury Rams supporters: I will be really sad to leave Dewsbury, especially after the year that we’ve all enjoyed. The Halifax job is too good of an opportunity that I can turn down as a young ambitious coach and I think that people understand that. FINN TO DEPART RAMS
We can today confirm that Head Coach Liam Finn will be leaving the club to take up an opportunity elsewhere. Former Ireland international Finn joined the club as Head Coach in June 2022 from Halifax Panthers following Lee Greenwood’s departure. Although he couldn’t prevent relegation in 2022, this year he has successfully guided the club back to the Betfred Championship at the first attempt, winning the Betfred League One title with a game to spare.
