The match day role includes ensuring that the stadium is safe and accessible on match days, managing the match day stewarding operation and safety of spectators and the post match safe exit of spectators and stadium shut down. Dewsbury Rams will be hosting an after game party on July 22nd following the Heavy Woollen derby with Batley. The event will take place outside (weather permitting), on the South Stand concourse. In the case of poor weather the event can be moved into the Royal Suite. After the fixture there will be a two hour performance from local singer Micky Johnson. Johnson is a professional acoustic vocalist from West Yorkshire who specialises in a vast range of covers from varying styles throughout the ages from the 1950s to current chart music. Shaw Cross Sharks product Kobe Poching has reflected on making his debut for the England Youth Team on Tuesday. England were defeated 24-20 by France, and Poching says he took plenty from the experience. “It was a tough one, totally different to anything I’ve played before. It’s what you’d expect from international rugby,” he told the Shaw Cross Sharks website. “We went against a lot of big lads and it was a tough test with the heat, and the temperature kind of got to us.” Poching recently signed professional papers with Super League club Huddersfield Giants. Dewsbury Rams new signing Adam Ryder was pleased to get his first run out on the Tetley’s stadium pitch last Sunday when the Rams defeated Barrow 22-20 in a crucial Betfred Championship game. Ryder who was signed from Keighley and plays as a centre says that he is excited to step up into a higher division with the Rams.
