Sheffield Eagles kick-off time changed
Dewsbury Rams head to Sheffield this Sunday to face the Eagles in another crucial Betfred Championship fixture. The game was originally scheduled to kick-off at 3pm. However due to the possibility of England getting to the 2018 FIFA World Cup final which kicks-off at 4pm. The Rams will now face the Eagles on 15th July 12pm kick-off at the Olympic Legacy Park Sheffield.
Grassroots: Celtic tour fundraiser this Saturday
Dewsbury Celtic will host a Soul & Motown Night this Saturday (14 July) in support of their planned 2019 Australian Tour. The event will held at the Dewsbury Irish Nash and will start at 7.30pm. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Tony Patchett. Tickets are available now priced at £5. You can purchase in advance or pay on the door. Visit the Dewsbury Celtic Facebook page for further information. Celtic’s under-19s and open age teams will participate in the proposed Australian tour.

On Wednesday night England will play in the FIFA World Cup semi-final for only the third time in the country’s history, and you can watch it live at the Rams on the night. Supporters will be able to join Dewsbury Rams players and staff and cheer on the three lions from the inside the Tetley’s Stadium. England will play Croatia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-final in Russia, and as said above, it is only the third time in the country’s history that this has happened. Dewsbury Rams head coach Neil Kelly was delighted after the win against Barrow Raiders on Sunday afternoon. The Rams defeated the Raiders 22-20 on the day, and Kelly had this to say on the performance: “After last week’s disappointing defeat to Swinton, we were flirting with dropping into the bottom two, so the game against Barrow was all about the result. “It was never going to be an attractive game, but it was all about getting more points than Barrow. Shaw Cross Sharks have announced details for their Annual Gala. This year’s Gala will take place on Saturday 11th August and will feature five junior matches. ahead of the open age team’s National Conference League Division One match against Pilkington Recs. The club’s under-7s, 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s sides will all be in action, while there will also be games, stalls, a beer tent, bouncy castle and tombola. Parking and admission is £3 and includes a programme. For further information, visit the Sharks’ Facebook page.
