Grassroots: Sharks host players’ meeting
Shaw Cross Sharks head coach Zach Johnson will hold a pre-season players’ meeting on Wednesday 15th November at 7.00pm. The meeting will take place in the Sharks’ clubhouse. Rams face Bulldogs at 2018 Summer Bash
Dewsbury Rams will face Batley Bulldogs in game three on Sunday, at the 2018 Summer Bash. The RFL has today confirmed the fixtures for the event, which will be held on Saturday 26th an Sunday 27th May at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool. Following the success of the previous three years, and a record attendance of 16,444 in 2017, the seaside resort will once again host a weekend of exciting Championship Rugby League action. Grassroots: Celtic hail Walmsley selection
Dewsbury Celtic have hailed the selection of former player Alex Walmsley in the England squad for the Rugby League World Cup. Walmsley played community Rugby League for Celtic, before joining Batley Bulldogs, and then making the step up to Super League with St Helens. Grassroots: Moor secure promotion
Dewsbury Moor secured promotion to National Conference Division Two on Saturday as they edged out Woolston 16-10 in a cracking play-off final at Heckmondwike Road. A large crowd of around 500 assembled to watch the pinnacle of Moor’s season, and a brilliant run that had seen them win their last 11 matches to reach the final. Read the full story

Shaw Cross Sharks are launching a new book commemorating the club”s 70th anniversary. The book, titled ’70 Years of Reaching Forward’ will be launched at the Sharks’ clubhouse on Sunday 12th November, from 1.00pm. All members, players from past and present and local Rugby League supporters are invited to attend the event, which will be an opportunity to meet old friends and obtain a copy of the book. Grassroots: Moor seeks Tots coach
Dewsbury Moor are looking to recruit a coach for their Rugger Tots sessions. Rugger Tots is a programme for boys and girls aged 3 to 6 and sessions run for one hour each week. The fun sessions are intended as a way to introduce kids to the basics of Rugby League. The role would suit a young coach who is eager to progress in the field, without the commitment of weekends.
