Dewsbury RLFC’s greatest ever player
Dewsbury Rams have been tasked to find out who supporters believe is the club’s greatest ever player. The idea has come about due to a rugby league project that Wakefield Museum is currently running called a League of Their Own. They are asking all West Yorkshire clubs to select their club’s greatest ever player, so we thought we would ask you the supporters. The project will highlight the fantastic history within the sport in the West Yorkshire area, and that vital part that all West Yorkshire club’s play within the sport. Greenwood reviews York defeat
Head coach Lee Greenwood was disappointed following the Rams 22-26 defeat to York at the weekend. He gave his thoughts on the game when speaking to the media after the match. He said: “I don’t know about being unlucky, I thought the best team won over the eighty minutes. We just weren’t smart enough to keep a hold of that lead. I thought York fully deserved the win. “We had done well for 40 minutes and worked really hard to get that lead, but then we were just giving it away really easy. It was a game of two halves for the Rams on Sunday as they were defeated 22-26 by the York City Knights in Dewsbury’s first game of the 2019 season. The Rams were 14-0 up at half time but a York fight back in the second half coupled with some Rams defensive errors meant it was the visitors who came home with a victory. The home side started brightly, and it was Sam Day who crossed the line first for the Rams, as he got his first try of the afternoon. Day barged his way through the Knights defence and […]
