Rams snap up local talent ahead of Toulouse trip
Dewsbury Rams have signed Brad Delaney and Tobias Richardson in time for tomorrow’s match away at Toulouse. The pair have joined the club on a short-term deal and have been named in head coach Neil Kelly’s 19-man squad for the trip to France. Half-back Delaney previously featured for the Rams in 2014 and 2015 and was a Reserves Championship winner during his time with the club. Rams making progress in the stands
Dewsbury Rams have reported like-for-like increases in attendances across the majority of matches following the culmination of the regular season. Though the club’s overall average attendance has fallen by 8% compared to last year’s figure, attendances for home fixtures against seven of the eight teams the Rams played last year have risen. The recent attendance for the home match against Batley Bulldogs is up 24% on last year’s figure, while the crowd against Halifax is up 94% on last year. Grassroots: Celtic prepare for Waterhead trip
Only one of our town’s community clubs is in action this weekend. In National Conference League Division Three, Dewsbury Celtic travel to face Waterhead. Celtic head into the match on the back of three consecutive victories, while Waterhead are struggling for form in the lower reaches of the table. Celtic currently sit fifth in the ladder, but they have three games in hand on two of the teams in the top three. Toulouse 44-18 Rams It was an interesting last game of the regular season in the Betfred Championship. Both clubs wanted the points to go a step closer to achieving their targets for the campaign. It was Toulouse who eventually came out on top. It was the home side who made the better start and scored the first try of the afternoon on the fourth minute.
