New structure for Betfred Championship and League 1
The following statement by the RFL was made about how the structure of the league will work regarding Betfred Championship and League 1. New league structure for Super League clubs
In a vote today, Super League clubs have decided to chance the structure of England’s top division of the sport. The new structure goes back to the old format of one up and one down regarding promotion and relegation, this means that the recent Super 8s format will no longer take place. An RFL statement read: “At the Rugby Football League Council meeting, the proposed agreement between the RFL and Super League (Europe) Limited relating to a range of issues including: removal of the Super 8s for the 2019 season; guaranteed promotion and relegation to Super League; and funding to […]
Awards night sold out
Dewsbury Rams can announce that the Awards night has now sold out and tickets will no longer be a available. The Rams will have a full Royal Suite for the awards night on the 27th September in the club’s showpiece event. Dewsbury Rams media manager Steven Downes said of the announcement: “It is absolutely fantastic that we have sold out the event, and it again shows the Rams supporters determination to back the club in events such as these. “The night should be a fantastic one with well respected comedian Pete Emmett being the MC for the evening.”

Dewsbury Rams were defeated by Featherstone Rovers at the LD Nutrition stadium last Sunday 40-28, however the Rams certainly did not make things easy for the home side. Both sides played out an entertaining first nine minutes, and it was the home side who struck the first blow when Shaun Robinson wheeled away in celebration after diving over the whitewash to score.
