Kelly to leave Rams at the end of the season

Dewsbury Rams can announce that head coach Neil Kelly will be leaving the club at the end of this current season due to personal reasons.

Kelly has guided the club to safety again this year and this means the Rams will have another season of Betfred Championship rugby next year.

He successfully helped the club retain its Championship status last year when he was appointed as head coach in April 2017.

Also leaving the club will be assistant Paul Delaney, who has supported the club and the head coach since Kelly’s arrival at the Rams.

On leaving the Rams, Kelly said: “I would like to place on record how proud I have been to represent the Dewsbury Rams as coach and would like to thank Mark Sawyer for the opportunity.

“I would also like to place on record my gratitude to the players, supporters and staff who I wish every good fortune in the future.”

The club would like to place on record it’s thanks to both Neil and Paul for their hard work across the last one and half seasons.

We wish them all the best in the future for whatever they go on to do next.
