In National Conference League Division One, Thornhill Trojans produced a disciplined defensive performance and were clinical in attack in the second half to emerge 28-2 winners away at Milford Marlins. The Trojans led 4-2 at the half-way point of the match, which was screened live on FreeSports. And they scored four tries in the second half to take the game away from their hosts. Following a successful fundraising drive during the last close season, Dewsbury Faithful will commence activities for 2019 at this Sunday’s match against Swinton Lions. The Dewsbury Faithful operates during the close-season period and provides a platform for supporters to make a donation towards sponsorship of the club. Last year, funds were used to sponsor Rams forward Jode Sheriffe and the home kicking tee. Money was also spent on the purchase of a new stadium flag, while £700 was donated to the All Together 2018 fund, which contributed to the recruitment of Adam Ryder. Dewsbury Rams secured a vital win over Swinton Lions on Sunday afternoon with the game finishing 40-7 to Dewsbury. Neil Kelly’s men scored 34 points unanswered in the second half to produce a fantastic second half display and grab all the points in their first Super 8s fixture.
