Dewsbury Faithful fixed up for next season

Following a successful fundraising drive during the last close season, Dewsbury Faithful will commence activities for 2019 at this Sunday’s match against Swinton Lions.

The Dewsbury Faithful operates during the close-season period and provides a platform for supporters to make a donation towards sponsorship of the club.

Last year, funds were used to sponsor Rams forward Jode Sheriffe and the home kicking tee.

Money was also spent on the purchase of a new stadium flag, while £700 was donated to the All Together 2018 fund, which contributed to the recruitment of Adam Ryder.

The Dewsbury Faithful is organised by supporters Neil Coulson and Graham Fisher.
Should you wish to make a donation, speak to Neil or Graham at this Sunday’s match or at any of the home matches during the Super 8s.

Neil said: “We introduced a group sponsorship concept under the Dewsbury Faithful name for fans who perhaps can’t afford sponsorship on their own, and the response we received last year was fantastic.

“75 supporters contributed £20 each to be a part of something wonderful – and it sure was.

“First, we purchased a new flag that bears the name of the Dewsbury Faithful, before introducing a new innovation – the sponsorship of the kicking tee, which virtually guaranteed a mention for the Dewsbury Faithful at every home game.

“We also wanted the player we sponsored to represent all the hard work done by the fans, so we opted for Jode Sheriffe, who is an honest and hard-working member of the squad.

“Following these projects, we still had £700 remaining, and this was donated to the All Together 2018 fund, which ultimately contributed to the club bringing in Adam Ryder.

“We enjoyed a superb first year and we are eager to build on that this time around.”
