Head Coach Lee Greenwood has given his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s Betfred Championship clash against Whitehaven. Looking back at last Sunday’s game against Workington, Greenwood said “We had a long video session on Tuesday to analyse the game and it was a really poor performance in every aspect, there are no excuses, we were poor in defence, discipline and attacking threat, there’ll be quite a few changes going into this weekend. BLACKMORE JOINS RAMS
Dewsbury Rams are pleased to announce the signing of 29-year-old former Featherstone and Sheffield winger Ben Blackmore. Blackmore who most recently played for Featherstone Rovers has joined the Rams until the end of the 2022 season. He has a vast amount of experience at Championship level with two stints at Featherstone sandwiched in between a four-year spell with Sheffield Eagles, where he scored 49 tries and helped the Eagles to victory in the inaugural 1895 Cup at Wembley. Rams exit the Challenge Cup at the fourth-round stage on a difficult day in Cumbria. On a sunny but chilly Sunday afternoon the Rams looked to get back on track against Workington Town after Monday night’s defeat against Widnes Vikings. Attacking into a strong breeze in the first half, the Rams started the match well, until a fumble in the in-goal area gave Workington the breakthrough with a try for Alex Clegg, converted by Jamie Doran. Thirty-two unanswered second half points from the home side sees Whitehaven ease past the Rams. Following on from last week’s poor showing in the Challenge Cup against Workington, the Rams headed back up to Cumbria with a much-changed team, hoping for different results.
