Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood has had his say following Sunday’s defeat to the Widnes Vikings. The Rams went down 22-8 in what was a disappointing last fixture of the season. Worrincy On Being Top Try Scorer
Dewsbury Rams experienced and speedy winger Rob Worrincy has had time to reflect on the defeat against the Widnes Vikings but also the season as a whole. The former Halifax man has now become the Rams top try scorer this season finishing up on 14 tries, 11 in the league and 3 in the cup competitions. Dewsbury Rams were defeated 22-8 in their final game of the Betfred Championship season, the Rams fought hard but just couldn’t keep the Vikings at bay. The game didn’t get going whilst the 20th minute and although both sides had opportunities to score neither of them took their chances when going close to the line. It was the visitors who scored the first try of the afternoon on the 20th minute mark when Owen Buckley slid over the whitewash for his first try of the game. Dewsbury Rams were defeated by the Widnes Vikings by 22-8 on Sunday afternoon at the Tetley’s Stadium. Rob Worrincy scored both tries for the Rams on the day, but it was Widnes who were just too powerful for Dewsbury and eventually came out winners. That meant the club finished 12th in the division.
