Advisory Board Creation
Dewsbury Rams would like to make the following statement regarding the creation of the club advisory board. The advisory board is an initiative recommended by the RFL of which all clubs are being asked to introduce. It is intended to comprise a cross section of club representations, which should include, but not limited to, owners, employees, fans and volunteers. Its prime function is to provide a steering group that can assist the club in reaching its objectives. Speakman Signs for Rams
Dewsbury Rams are delighted to be able to announce the signing of Dom Speakman. Speakman has once again decided to join the Rams on a one year deal. The stand-off/hooker is an experienced player at this level. Dom previously played for the Rams during 2016-18, where he played over 70 games for the club. He then made a move to Widnes Vikings, but was subsequently released, and the 25-year-old ended up returning to the Rams where he played in the final few games of last season. Assistants Depart
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that both assistants Gareth Greenwood and Rikki Sheriffe have departed the club. Head coach Lee Greenwood commented: “I’d like to thank Gareth and Rikki for their hard work during what has been a challenging year. They both have bright futures in their coaching careers should they choose to continue in the game.”
Reilly Pleased to be a Ram
Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce Martyn Really has signed a new one year contract to stay at the club. The front man has shown great determination and courage to get back onto the field of play following his recent ACL injury. The 23 year old has battled back to full fitness and ended the season in good form. Reilly has also become a prominent figure behind the scenes as he has taken charge of community project the Rampage Club. Dewsbury Rams confirmed that Dom Speakman would be returning to the club for the 2020 season. The 25 year old has signed a one year deal with the club. On his permanent return to the club Speakman said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in to the 2020 season, I missed it whilst I wasn’t here which was a huge factor in coming back. “Lee rang me when he had a bit of an injury crisis, I’d spoke with him a couple of times but I couldn’t make it fit with work.
