Ryder looks ahead to Barrow game
Dewsbury Rams centre Adam Ryder is looking forward to the home game on Sunday against Barrow Raiders. Ryder knows that it will not be easy on Sunday however he wants to be on the right side of the result when the Cumbrian club walk in to town. This Sunday’s Championship Shield match against Barrow Raider is the fixture closest to the anniversary of the sad passing of Graham Beaumont, who died a year ago today, 5th September 2017. Graham did a great deal for the club and was a major backer and supporter of the Rams over many years. He passed away aged 62 after suffering a heart-related issue. At the beginning of the 2018 season, the Eastern Terrace was renamed The Beaumont Terrace in honour of Graham’s service to the club. The Dewsbury Rams cheerleaders are recruiting for the 2019 season. Sessions take place at Dewsbury sports centre. The junior class (age 5+) takes place 4pm-5pm whilst the senior class (age 12+) takes place at 5pm-6pm. Both classes take place on a Monday and each child receives one free trial session. We perform at all home games, and are a part of Panache Cheer and Dance school. Panache is one of the best schools in the UK and many of their cheerleaders, several being Dewsbury cheerleaders have been selected for competition teams and are now national champions. Dewsbury Rams are backing the British Heart Foundation by asking supporters to bring any old unwanted clothes or objects that you would normally take to a charity shop to the ground on Sunday. On Sunday the Rams will play Barrow Raiders in the Betfred Championship shield, and we are encouraging Barrow fans as well as Dewsbury fans to help us support the charity. The British Heart Foundation is a charity that has a big standing in Rugby League, and has helped many players down the years.
