Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood has spoke exclusively to the Rams website ahead of tomorrow’s Yorkshire Cup fixture against York City Knights. The Rams will face the Knights in York at Bootham Crescent with a 6pm kick off time arranged. Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce that the popular mascot scheme that the club ran last season will continue in 2019. Mascots featured on the club’s social media accounts and website plus match day programme, all this is set to continue. The mascots were also taken on a tour of the ground and taken in to the club shop where they could purchase items of their choice. Dewsbury Rams half-back Lewis Heckford is looking ahead to the Yorkshire Cup game at York City Knights this Saturday; he believes it will be a tough game, and that the Yorkshire Cup has added a real edge to pre-season. It was a defeat for the Rams in their final Yorkshire Cup tie on Saturday evening, Lee Greenwood’s men headed to Bootham Crescent in good spirits. However the Rams found it tough going against a strong York side. It was the home side who dominated much of the match, with former Dewsbury player Jack Teanby causing the visitors problems early on.
