From player, to captain, to fitness coach, and now assistant coach Matt Garside’s dedication to the Rams doesn’t go unnoticed.
Garside initially joined the Rams on loan in 2022 before making the move permanently a year later. His knowledge for the game ensure that he quickly became club captain, and in 2025 he balanced playing and coaching duties helping to assist Paul March with the team before hanging up his boots that same year.
He’s now staying with the Rams and once again moving up the Ranks becoming March’s right hand man for the 2027 season.
Paul March said: “Coaching changes with Conor Turner leaving us, to take up an opportunity in super league, we are now delight to announce that Matt Garside will be moving to Assitant Coach.”
