Last week I wrote about the fantastic news that training & playing had resumed at all age groups within our local community clubs. Until that magical date of 17th May when people are allowed to be spectators at live sport our clubs cannot publicise their games but I can let you know how their progress is unfolding. Butterworth: It will be a tough game
Dewsbury Rams hooker Reiss Butterworth believes the team can bounce back strong against Swinton on Monday. The team have lost three games on the spin now but the former Huddersfield Giants man isn’t worried. On last weekend’s disappointing loss to Halifax, Butterworth said: “We are our own worst enemies at times, we just make too many unforced errors which just gifted fax field possession for the majority of the game. Martin: We will be going out all guns blazing
Dewsbury Rams fullback Joe Martin says the team will be going out all guns blazing to get a win this weekend against Swinton. Martin who played last weekend was bitterly disappointed with the 36-0 home defeat to Halifax. On that game he said: “We just simply didn’t turn up, we started slow and we were out enthused by Halifax. “We didn’t put ourselves in the game at all. The dressing room afterwards was downbeat, as it should be after a loss like that. “Whilst the attitude and effort might have been there we had lapses in concentration which didn’t help. […]

Return of Spectators to the Tetley’s Stadium
We have today received further guidance from the RFL regarding the welcome return of spectators to our stadium. Further discussions will be held with Kirklees Council in light of this advice. Neither party has the full information to hand at the moment and are working with other Local Authorities to develop a common approach to this. The club should be able to issue an updated statement on Saturday regarding how we can welcome you to the game. What we do know already is that our ground capacity is likely to be capped at less than 700 and we will have […]
Our League to stream ten more Betfred Championship and League 1 fixtures
Our League streaming will continue for selected Betfred Championship and League 1 fixtures over the next two weeks, even though matches are no longer behind closed doors. Six games will be streamed next weekend (May 22-23), and another four on Sunday May 30. All ten matches are available for the same Early Bird price of £4.95 that has applied for Our League pay per view games throughout the 2021 season, going up to £10 on the day of each fixture. A weekend pass of £20 will also be available. Home clubs will also be providing free streaming to season ticket […]
