Dewsbury Rams are pleased to announce the loan signing of Aidan McGowan from Huddersfield Giants.
A product of the Giants Academy, the young full back joins the club on a season-long loan deal from Huddersfield Giants, who have a re-call option if necessary.
McGowan has had previous Betfred Championship experience with a loan spell at York City Knights during the 2021 season and has represented both England and Ireland at academy level.
Rams Head Coach, Lee Greenwood, said on the signing “We have struggled to fill the full back position since Calum Turner got his injury. Whilst our dual registration with Hull KR can help for one off games, we have been looking for a more regular solution. Aidan is highly thought of at Huddersfield, but it was his performances for York on loan last season that impressed me. He has been injured but has played a few reserve games now and looks back to full fitness, I’m sure he’ll prove a good addition for us.”
