Dewsbury Rams can today confirm the players that will be leaving the club at the end of this season. With nearly two hundred Rams appearances between them, Michael Knowles and Adam Ryder are the two longest serving Rams players who will be leaving. ANNAKIN RETIRES
Dewsbury Rams can today confirm that Chris Annakin has retired from Rugby League with immediate effect on medical advice. Annakin, who joined the Rams permanently in 2020 following previous loan spells with the club, played forty-three times, making thirty-five starts and scoring one try. He started his career at Wakefield Trinity making seventy-eight appearances for the Super League side and also played for Workington, Featherstone and London. This season Chris has had an on-going injury issue which has required him to seek specialist advice and go through multiple assessments, unfortunately the medical advice has meant that he has had to […]

We are delighted to announce that Sam Day has re-joined the club for the 2023 season! Day made seventy-five appearances scoring twenty-five tries in his first stint with Rams, becoming a firm fans favourite at the Tetley’s Stadium. He left the semi-professional game in 2021 to focus on a career outside the sport but is back for next year and cannot wait to wear the famous red, amber and black shirt once again. FERGUSON RE-SIGNS FOR 2023
We are delighted to announce that Dale Ferguson has re-signed for the Rams for the 2023 season! The vastly experienced Ferguson, who has featured nineteen times for Scotland, made his first appearance for the Rams in 2021 on loan from Featherstone, scoring a try on debut before making the switch permanent ahead of 2022. Unfortunately, injuries have meant that Ferguson missed the majority of this season, but he still managed to make a big impact in his final three games, scoring twice, including one in the 22-16 victory over Workington. We are delighted to announce that former Halifax duo Matt Garside and Elliot Morris have signed up for the 2023 season! Prop Morris, had been with Halifax Panthers since 2016, making over one hundred appearances for the Shaymen after initially joining their reserve side. Thirty-one-year-old Garside has played over two hundred and fifty times in his career representing the likes of London Broncos, Bradford Bulls and York City Knights.
