Club programme announcement
Dewsbury Rams has taken the difficult decision not to continue the club’s match day programme Rampages. This decision has not been taken lightly, and whilst the club recognizes that programmes have been a popular product down the years, unfortunately the publication did not deliver the profits needed to make it sustainable. The club did look into various other programme ideas that could have been more cost effective, however these didn’t turn out to be the case. Whilst this decision is not one we wanted to be taken it does open up the opportunity for the website to be used more. […]

Here are the highlights from our pre-season friendly defeat to the Keighley Cougars.

Stadium announcement regarding smoking rule changes.
Dewsbury Rams would like to advise all supporters (both home and away) that smoking is no longer allowed in either of the two covered stands. The decision to ban smoking altogether has been taken as the result of a number of requests that the club has received over the past 12 months and to clarify any doubt over the current legislation and how it affects our club. Smoking will still be allowed on the open terrace but we ask all supporters to be considerate of those around them should they choose to smoke. Supporters in the main stand who would […]

Greenwood reviews Keighley pre-season defeat
Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood has expressed his disappointment at the defeat to Keighley Cougars on Sunday in pre-season, however insists there were positives and there is much to take away from the fixture. He said: “I thought for the first 30 minutes we were pretty dominant and could have had more tries and I think that would have been a fair reflection. However for a short patch before half time and then a bit after half time we were really poor. “I have learnt a lot about squad strength and individuals and it’s food for thought on what […]

Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood insists this Sunday game against Bradford is a good opportunity for players to force their way into his thoughts. “It’s a good attractive game and a lot of the lads who will take the field Sunday will be looking to take the field against Leigh Centurions. Either that or get themselves into the reckoning for the early part of the season. “Looking at some of them now, you could say some aren’t quite ready for Championship rugby.
