RFL Statement regarding the future for Championship and League 1
The RFL has begun modelling fixture options for 2021 for the return of the Betfred Championship and League 1 competitions, and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup. A recent meeting of clubs confirmed that although Government advice is currently that crowds will not be permitted until April, there is a shared desire to return well before that – and that all options should be kept open for the resumption of competitions as soon as possible. David Hyomes Jersey Talk: No12
Let us start with John Bates, in every sense he was a true man of Dewsbury. He wore the number 12 shirt in our 1973 Championship final winning team but gave so much more in a distinguished career with our club. A local man who turned up at Crown Flatt with brother Alan & asked for a trial! Although John was arguably our most iconic occupant of the number 12 jersey he initially started his life in red, amber & black as a centre. An absolute copybook tackler who went on to gain representative honours. He was always very visible around […]

RIP Steve Horsfall
It is with great sadness the Club can announce the passing of Steve Horsfall. Steve had been the Club photographer & supporter for many years. He was also a talented musician playing the guitar, keyboards & piano. Steve played in music bands over the years, his latest was a tribute band called Ain’t Skynard. He will be remembered fondly by many at Dewsbury Rams. The Clubs deepest condolences go to Steve’s wife Sue, his family & friends.

Day raises £1,450 for MND charity
Dewsbury Rams is extremely proud of hooker Sam Day who has raised a fantastic £1,450 for the MND Association. With the news of Rugby League and Leeds legend Rob Burrow having being diagnosed with MND within the last year. The sport has rallied around Rob and plenty of fundraising for the charity has already happened. However our very own Sam Day decided to run a marathon and finished in a time of 3 hours and 38 minutes. He has raised a superb £1,450 for the charity. As well as Sam running the marathon he also had help from former players […]
