Dewsbury Rams and Rugby League backing sport’s social media boycott
Dewsbury Rams is taking a stand with the rest of the Rugby Football League, Super League Europe, Rugby League World Cup 2021 and the Rugby League Players’ Association in supporting the boycott of social media this Bank Holiday Weekend. The sport’s governing body and its leading clubs and players will withdraw from key platforms from 3pm on Friday until 11:59pm on Monday, to show solidarity with other sports, and amplify the message that nobody should have to suffer abuse, racism or harassment on social media. Confirmed dates and kick off times for next three fixtures
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that our next game at home to York City Knights will be played on the 2nd May 7:30pm kick off. This game will be shown live on the Our League App. We then host Halifax at the Tetley’s Stadium on 9th May at 5:15pm. Again the game will be shown live on the Our League App. We then head to Swinton on Monday 17th May for an away fixture that kicks off at 7:45pm.

Greenwood reviews York defeated
Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood was proud of the teams effort against a tough York side. The Rams were defeated 20-30 by the Knights on Sunday evening. However although it was disappointing to lose the fixture Greenwood says he can take some real positives out of the performance. He said: “It was a massive effort by the lads. I thought we were better in the first half than what the actual scoreline suggested. “I thought York were a tad lucky to come in at 14-14 at half time.
