Head Coach Lee Greenwood has announced his 21 Man Squad ahead of this Sunday’s visit of the Sheffield Eagles. The squad for this weekend includes Elliot Minchella who arrives on dual-registration from Hull KR and Robson Stevens who arrives on a season long loan from Huddersfield Giants. STEVENS JOINS RAMS ON LOAN
Dewsbury Rams are pleased to announce Huddersfield Giants forward Robson Stevens has joined on loan until the end of the season. A product of the Huddersfield Giants academy, the young prop forward has re-joined the Rams on loan until the end of the season after spending a successful loan period with us during 2021 campaign. SCULPTURE OF JACK ADDY TO BE UNVEILED
Following this Sunday’s game with Sheffield Eagles a sculpture of former player, coach and club president Jack Addy, will be unveiled in the Royal Suite. Jack Addy had a long association with Dewsbury RLFC, beginning with his early days as a player in the Colts team, but it was his time as head coach that really stood out. He first took on the role in the 1983/84 season after the resignation of Tommy Smales and slowly put together a team capable of challenging for promotion, which the club achieved in the 1984/85 season. TWELVE MAN RAMS VICTORIOUS AGAINST EAGLES
Dewsbury Rams picked up their first victory of the Betfred Championship season with a 12-10 win against Mark Aston’s Sheffield Eagles. It was a wet and windy day at the Tetley’s Stadium, but the Rams got off to a flying start with a penalty put over by Matty Beharrell within two minutes, followed soon after with a try for Brad Graham. For the rest of the first half, there was few attacking chances for either side with play very much dictated by the poor conditions.
