Dewsbury Rams are today delighted to announce the appointment of a new Media & Marketing Manager. Jordan Furness has joined the club in the position of Media & Marketing Manager and will have the task of overseeing the day to day running of the club’s social media challenges, putting together content and information to help keep supporters fully informed with developments and activities at the club and developing new initiatives aimed at promoting the club, generating an increased and inclusive fan base and increasing the commercial profile and activities of the club increasing the exposure for current future sponsors. Rams suffer sixth league loss of the season on tricky Friday night in Greater Manchester as Leigh run in eight unanswered tries. Following on from the much-improved performance against Newcastle two weeks ago, the Rams headed across the Pennines for a tough Friday night task against Leigh Centurions. With the squad ravaged by injuries, Will Tate started at fullback after joining on dual registration Hull KR. HARRY BEVERLEY RIP
Dewsbury Rams are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of former player Harry Beverley aged 74 after a long illness. An athletic prop forward who was much admired amongst Dewsbury fans, Harry joined the club in 1971 and played for six years, being a key part of the 1973 Championship winning side that beat Leeds at Odsal. His barnstorming runs and never give up attitude cemented his place as a fan favourite. BULLDOGS KICK-OFF TIME CHANGED
Our Good Friday clash against Batley Bulldogs at the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium will now kick off at 18:30. Our Heavy Woollen Derby against neighbours Batley Bulldogs on Friday 15th April has been changed, the game was originally due to start at 15:00 but will now start at 18:30. A NIGHT IN THE FRONT ROW – FRIDAY MAY 6
Ex-Dewsbury player Keith Mason is organising a special event on Friday 6th May as part of Michael Knowles’ Testimonial. The evening will be hosted by ex-Leeds, Halifax and GB Prop, Roy Dickinson and ex-Dewsbury Prop, Keith Mason and will feature some fascinating rugby league stories and anecdotes from throughout the years. Current players and coaching staff will be attending the event as well as a selection of ex-players from across the years.
