Dewsbury Rams are delighted to confirm they have exercised the 2nd year contract option for Connor Scott. The prop had an excellent start to the 2020 season scoring some crucial tries in games. It’s fantastic to be able to retain Scott for his second year. On keeping the former Doncaster man, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “Connor was on brilliant form before lockdown hit. Esslemont- I’m looking forward to getting back to training and playing
Dewsbury Rams yesterday announced the re-signing of Sonny Esslemont. The 26 year old loose-forward signed for the club in 2020 and made an instant impression. Having previously played for the Sheffield Eagles. Esslemont knows the Betfred Championship inside and out. On him staying at the Rams, Esslemont said: “I really enjoyed the start of the season which made it an easy decision to make. “Also when I spoke to Lee (Greenwood) he said we are keeping most of the 2020 squad plus bringing in some more quality players.” Esslemont is excited at the prospect of training and playing again. “I’m […]
Esslemont signs for another year.
Dewsbury Rams can reveal that loose-forward Sonny Esslemont will be part of Lee Greenwood’s 2021 man squad. The tall 26 year old signed for the club at the start of the 2020 campaign. On being able to retain the former Sheffield Eagles man, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “Sonny has been a really good addition since joining last year and I’m pleased he is staying with us for 2021. “He wants to get settled at a club now after moving around a bit and he likes it here at Dewsbury. “He is a smart player and a good character to […]
Wardill joins Rams
Dewsbury Rams can confirm that 22 year old winger/centre Joe Wardill has joined the club for the 2021 season. Wardill is a former Super League player having risen through the academy and reserve sides he has played a number of fixtures for Hull KR’s first team. In 2018 Wardill signed a three year deal at Rovers. However just a year later he took the decision to retire from the sport due to having three hip operations. However having recovered and played in some reserve team fixtures, Wardill is now wanting to resume his career at the Rams. The club has […]
