Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood has given his thoughts ahead of our trip to Batley on Sunday. He said of the fixture: “They have beaten us three times so far so it will be nice to get one over on them. “We are a point behind them in the league table and I think whoever wins then they’ll be safe. Rams complete loan deal with Hunslet
Dewsbury Rams have completed a loan deal with Hunslet RLFC, which sees Reece Dean join the Rams and Lewis Heckford go the other way to the Leeds club. Reece, a utility back, has joined the club until the end of the season. Dean came through the Hull FC academy system, but left for more game time as he signed for Toronto Wolfpack and has also had spells with Sheffield and Doncaster. We wish Lewis Heckford the best of luck for the rest of the season at Hunslet.
Nelmes signs for Rams
Dewsbury Rams have signed front rower Luke Nelmes for the rest of the 2019 season. Nelmes signed for the club a few weeks ago and has been selected in Lee Greenwood’s 19 man squad for Sunday’s game. The 26 year old has had previous stints at both Halifax and Oldham. Nelmes has helped out in the Rams recent Summer Camp. Welcome to Dewsbury Rams Luke Nelmes.
Rampage Camp success
Dewsbury Rams have successfully held a fantastic three day summer camp this week. In total 30 children took part in the event and on the final day each child went home with a medal, certificate, sweets, and a ticket to our last home game against Widnes on Sunday 8th September. Martyn Reilly, Kyle Trout, Luke Nelmes, Ady Marsh, Chris Hill, Tom Wesson and Steven Downes should be very proud of themselves for helping to put on a brilliant event. The Bulldogs held a three-score lead as the game approached the final 20 minutes.
