Dewsbury Rams were victorious against the Widnes Vikings live on the our league app on Sunday night in what was an outstanding performance by the whole team. Try scorers on the night were Michael Knowles, Sam Day and Adam Ryder, with Sykes scoring two penalties and two conversion kicks out of three. The victory moves the Rams up to seventh in the division and its the first time the club has beaten the Vikings on home soil for twenty years. Full match report to follow.

Dewsbury Rams centre Matty Fleming says he couldn’t have settled into life at the Rams any better. The former Super League player is so far loving life at the Tetley’s Stadium. He said: “I don’t think I could have settled in any better to be honest. Why does it always rain on me? Is it because I lied when I was seventeen? Poor old Dewsbury Rams. This season has had more cancellations than Northern Rail. Out of 5 scheduled fixtures so far, only 2 games haven’t been postponed due to the bad weather. They never mentioned this in Brexit! At this rate Dewsbury will still be completing their fixtures one month after the Grand Final. It has been a bit wet ‘n’ windy. The Betfred Championship Round 4 makes a return this Sunday after last weekend’s Coral Challenge Cup 4th round games. Only the Whitehaven – Dewsbury Rams match got postponed due to a unplayable pitch at the Recreation Ground, details for this match to take place have have not been announced as of yet. The draw for the fifth round took place on Monday evening, when this match eventually takes place, the winner will be away at League 1 side Newcastle Thunder.
