Rams secure first away victory of the season in Cumbria against Workington Town. Sunday provided a second trip to Workington this season for the Rams who had suffered defeat at Derwent Park in the Challenge Cup back in February. The Rams knew that only a victory against already relegated Workington would keep their slim hopes of survival alive. NATIONAL LOTTERY RLWC TROPHY TOUR AT THE TETLEY’S STADIUM
The Rugby League World Cup National Lottery Trophy Tour will be stopping at the Tetley’s Stadium for Monday’s game against Batley Bulldogs! As the Rugby League World Cup approaches the Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair Trophies will be making their way around the country stopping at the Tetley’s Stadium on Monday 29th August for our game against Batley Bulldogs. Before the game the trophies will be on display behind the South Stand and after the game the trophies will be in the Royal Suite where the post-match interviews will take place as usual. FUSION FOOD BANK COLLECTION
In conjunction with Fusion Housing and Batley Bulldogs we are organising a collection for Fusion Food Bank at the upcoming Heavy Woollen Derby. As the cost of living is rising so has the demand for food banks, which has risen 49% in the last 3 months. In June alone, Fusion Food Bank provided enough food to feed 430 people which is equivalent to 9030 meals. They are the largest food bank in North Kirklees offering both collection and delivery to ensure all those in need have access to food parcels. The upcoming Casino Night as part of Michael Knowles’ Testimonial year has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The evening which was due to take place on Friday 26th August (19:30) at the Tetley’s Stadium has been cancelled. Anybody who has purchased a ticket for the event will be able to claim a full refund from the Club Office on a Wednesday & Friday between 10:00 – 17:00.
