SOUTH STAND TO BE RENAMED
We are delighted to announce that ahead of our upcoming game against Toulouse the South Stand will be officially renamed the ‘Mike Stephenson MBE Stand’. As announced at last year’s 1973 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, the South Stand at FLAIR Stadium will be renamed the ‘Mike Stephenson MBE South Stand’ before the clash against Toulouse Olympique on Saturday 4th May. Known as one of the most recognisable personalities in rugby league and one of the greatest players in the history of Dewsbury RLFC, ‘Stevo’ joined the club from Shaw Cross in 1966 and played 220 games over an eight-year-period. Rams suffer defeat at Heywood Road against Swinton. After last week’s narrow defeat in Cumbria, the Rams were back on the road again this time to Heywood Road to face Swinton Lions. It was the home side who got off to the perfect start when Mitch Cox collected a grubber to score the opening try of the game. The Rams answered straight back, after Jacob Hookem provided a wonderful late offload to give Curtis Davies an easy opportunity to score his second of the season. MATCHDAY BAR STAFF
We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic, passionate and friendly bar staff to work on matchdays at FLAIR Stadium. Duties include; making a range of drinks, greeting customers and keeping the bar area clean and tidy. Applicants must have previous bar experience, be over 18, friendly, welcoming, well presented and self-motivated. Additional hours may also be available during other events that take place at FLAIR Stadium. If you are interested please e-mail events@dewsburyrams.uk for further information.

After last week’s disappointment at Swinton, the Rams were back on the road again, this time to the Eco-Power Stadium to face Doncaster RLFC, a setting where the Rams lifted the Betfred League One trophy less than eight months ago. Doncaster started brightly and had the majority of early pressure, which told when ex-Ram Josh Guzdek went over for the first points of the game after six minutes.
