Kelly reflects on Leigh defeat
Rams head coach Neil Kelly has offered his thoughts following Sunday’s 36-0 defeat away at Leigh Centurions. The hosts scored three tries in either half, all of which were converted, to inflict Dewsbury’s third league defeat of the season. “I thought the players showed tremendous spirit and I can’t fault their effort, but you can’t be poor in contact and be poor in shape when you have the ball,” he said. “If you have poor shape and fall foul of the referee then you won’t threaten an opponent, and that’s a lesson we have to learn. “We were playing a […]

Leigh have endured a tough start to the season, with their only victories so far coming against Batley Bulldogs, in League and Cup. “You look at how we started last year and compare it to this and it’s totally different,” said Teanby. “We have had some rocky results of late, but overall we are happy with the start we have made. “Hopefully, we can get back on track and get the win against Leigh that we want, and then […]
Kelly Frustrated With Derby Day Defeat
Dewsbury Rams boss Neil Kelly was frustrated with his side’s performance against local rivals Batley Bulldogs. The Rams lost the first derby of the season 18-10 away at Mount Pleasant. For all we have worked really hard, and we have worked really hard in defence, it has come to nothing. “When you don’t put pressure on your oppositions back-line and gain field position in an area where you can […]
