Dewsbury Rams were defeated 22-17 by Canadian side Toronto Wolfpack on Sunday afternoon at the Tetley’s Stadium. A crowd of 1251 watched the tight fixture as well as thousands of people watching the game live on Sky TV. Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood was proud of his teams effort against Toronto but is equally disappointed with the loss. He said after the 22-17 defeat: “It’s been not robbed from us, it’s certainly not the feeling I have got, that is almost like someone has stole what you deserve. Listen we played well for a while but we didn’t do enough to win it which is disappointing. We got ourselves in to a great position and then just saw our league wiped out. The Amber Ribbon has issued a statement to members following its AGM, held in The Royal Suite at The Tetley’s Stadium on Thursday 21 February. “Thank you to the members who attended the AGM. The membership was quorate so the meeting went ahead as per the agenda. No apologies for absence were received. “The Chairman addressed the members with a brief history of The Amber Ribbon and copies of our achievements to date were made available for members to read. “He thanked the working party for their work and stated that The Amber Ribbon will continue to fund projects to help […]
Invincible returns to Rams
Dewsbury Rams are delighted to announce the re-signing of Liam Finn until the end of 2020 season, the half-back was previously at the club between 2006-2009, he was involved in the invincible team that won League One back in 2009. This transfer couldn’t have happened without the fantastic backing of Tracey and Andrew Sutcliffe and Squad Builder. Halfback Liam Finn will transfer from Newcastle Thunder ahead of the next round of Betfred Championship and League 1 action after agreeing to sign for the club. He has previously played for Halifax, Wakefield, Widnes, Castleford and Featherstone as well as Dewsbury. A […]
Travel with the Amber Ribbon
This Sunday Dewsbury Rams take on Halifax at the Shay Stadium, the Rams supporter group the Amber Ribbon are as always traveling to the away fixture together. You can join them by meeting at the West Riding Public House on Sunday at 12.00pm for the away game at Halifax which kicks off at 3pm. The train departs Dewsbury at 12.51pm arriving in Huddersfield at 13.33pm. The train to Halifax leaves at 13.54pm. The approximate cost is around £7, train tickets are to be purchased by yourselves from the ticket office.
