Shaw Cross Sharks product Kobe Poching has reflected on making his debut for the England Youth Team on Tuesday. England were defeated 24-20 by France, and Poching says he took plenty from the experience. “It was a tough one, totally different to anything I’ve played before. Ryder pleased with first game at the Rams
Dewsbury Rams new signing Adam Ryder was pleased to get his first run out on the Tetley’s stadium pitch last Sunday when the Rams defeated Barrow 22-20 in a crucial Betfred Championship game. Grassroots: Sharks announce Annual Gala
Shaw Cross Sharks have announced details for their Annual Gala. This year’s Gala will take place on Saturday 11th August and will feature five junior matches. ahead of the open age team’s National Conference League Division One match against Pilkington Recs. The club’s under-7s, 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s sides will all be in action, while there will also be games, stalls, a beer tent, bouncy castle and tombola. Sheffield Eagles kick-off time changed
Dewsbury Rams head to Sheffield this Sunday to face the Eagles in another crucial Betfred Championship fixture. The game was originally scheduled to kick-off at 3pm. However due to the possibility of England getting to the 2018 FIFA World Cup final which kicks-off at 4pm. The Rams will now face the Eagles on 15th July 12pm kick-off at the Olympic Legacy Park Sheffield.
Grassroots: Celtic tour fundraiser this Saturday
Dewsbury Celtic will host a Soul & Motown Night this Saturday (14 July) in support of their planned 2019 Australian Tour. The event will held at the Dewsbury Irish Nash and will start at 7.30pm. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Tony Patchett. Tickets are available now priced at £5. You can purchase in advance or pay on the door. Batley game after party
Dewsbury Rams will be hosting an after game party on July 22nd following the Heavy Woollen derby with Batley. The event will take place outside (weather permitting), on the South Stand concourse. In the case of poor weather the event can be moved into the Royal Suite. After the fixture there will be a two hour performance from local singer Micky Johnson. Johnson is a professional acoustic vocalist from West Yorkshire who specialises in a vast range of covers from varying styles throughout the ages from the 1950s to current chart music.
