Dewsbury Rams can announce the signing of highly rated winger Lewis Carr for the 2021 campaign. Carr has shown potential from an early age, as he has risen through the Castleford Tigers academy system. He holds the record for the most tries scored in a single season, 39 in just 21 games. He has been selected at international level and played for Yorkshire. As Carr joins the Rams, he will wear the number 27 shirt. Day raises £1,450 for MND charity
Dewsbury Rams is extremely proud of hooker Sam Day who has raised a fantastic £1,450 for the MND Association. With the news of Rugby League and Leeds legend Rob Burrow having being diagnosed with MND within the last year. The sport has rallied around Rob and plenty of fundraising for the charity has already happened. However our very own Sam Day decided to run a marathon and finished in a time of 3 hours and 38 minutes. He has raised a superb £1,450 for the charity. Horsfall funeral details
The club recently announced the passing of former club photographer Steve Horsfall. Steve’s funeral is on Thursday 29th October at Barnsley Crematorium, time 12:50pm. There will be space to stand outside (socially distanced) for anyone who would like to pay their respects to Steve and the service will be transmitted outside via speakers. Steve’s family are also hoping to run a live video link for anyone who is unable to make it which will be through Facebook live. They intend to drive to Barnsley via Owl Lane and the Rams stadium (about Midday) where they hope that people may wish […]

RFL Statement regarding the future for Championship and League 1
The RFL has begun modelling fixture options for 2021 for the return of the Betfred Championship and League 1 competitions, and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup. A recent meeting of clubs confirmed that although Government advice is currently that crowds will not be permitted until April, there is a shared desire to return well before that – and that all options should be kept open for the resumption of competitions as soon as possible. The first week of March, or possibly earlier, has been identified as a possible target date following an informal survey of clubs, and there will be […]

Dewsbury Rams are delighted to confirm that young utility player Jamie Abram has joined the club for the 2021 season. Abram who can play in a variety of positions includes fullback, halfback and hooker is looking to make the step up to Championship rugby. Having come through both the Salford and Warrington’s academies, Abram has had a good youth experience. He comes from a rugby league family with his father playing and coaching professionally and his brother Dan playing at Oldham. Abram will wear the number 28 shirt for Dewsbury.
