MATCH REPORT: Wakefield 30-10 Rams
Dewsbury Rams were defeated 30-10 by Wakefield Trinity on Sunday afternoon. The Betfred Super League side in the end showed too much quality despite the Rams putting in a solid performance. The home side started to put the pressure on straight away, and whilst some great early defensive sets were won. Wakefield finally found a gap after 10 minutes when Reece Lyne scored. Before anything else I will indulge myself in the afterglow of our win at Batley last Saturday. Many years ago when I joined the Dewsbury & Batley Referees Society a wise old sage uttered the words ‘In Rugby League there is no such thing as a friendly!’ The thing about last weekend is that the game was shrouded by trepidation even if nobody was prepared to admit it. Rams power up with Powerhouse Fitness
Dewsbury Rams have received a piece of equipment from Local Fitness Equipment firm Powerhouse Fitness. The company based in Batley have provided the club with a Spin Bike today for the players pre season training. Dewsbury Rams kit man Chris Hill received the spin bike and thanked Andrew on behalf of head coach Lee Greenwood and the players. Andrew Oldroyd from Powerhouse said “Its always been a privilege to help and support the Dewsbury Rams. “They are one of our local Rugby League Clubs.” “We are looking forward to the new season and seeing the lads in action, Good Luck […]
Greenwood reviews Wakefield defeat
Dewsbury Rams head coach Lee Greenwood believes the match against Wakefield Trinity will stand the team in good stead moving forward. Despite the Rams losing 30-10 on the day, Greenwood insists there are positives to take from the fixture. On the result and performance he said: “Overall you can’t say anyone was poor. Just some of them have come off thinking they can do more which is good. “After the game there was a sense of we could have done more.
