CHALLENGE CUP FIXTURE CONFIRMED
Our Round 3 Betfred Challenge Cup tie against York Knights RLFC will take place on Sunday 11th February at FLAIR Stadium, with kick-off at 14:00. The game will be exclusively broadcast live on The Sportsman and ticket details will be available in due course. The winners of the tie will face either Sheffield Eagles or Newcastle Thunder at home in Round 4.
RAMS TO FACE KNIGHTS IN CHALLENGE CUP
We have been drawn against York Knights at FLAIR Stadium in Round 3 of the Betfred Challenge Cup. The tie will take place on the weekend of the 10th/11th February with the winners facing either Sheffield Eagles or Newcastle Thunder at home in Round 4. Ticket details will be announced in due course.
COUGARS BEAT RAMS
Rams beaten by Keighley at Cougar Park in AB Sundecks 1895 Cup opener. After what seemed an eternity since their last competitive fixture back in August against Doncaster, the Rams finally got their 2024 season underway at Cougar Park against Keighley Cougars. The Rams were under pressure early after a contentious forward pass call gave the Cougars a scrum on the Rams ten metre line, but it was the Rams who got the first score of the game. Head Coach Dale Ferguson has announced his 21-man squad for our AB Sundecks 1895 Cup clash against Keighley Cougars. The squad in full is as follows: Tickets for the game are available here priced at £18 for Adults, £15 for Concessions (65+) and FREE for Under 16’s.
BETFRED CHALLENGE CUP DRAW ON MONDAY
The draws for Rounds 3 and 4 of the Betfred Challenge Cup will be streamed on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app live from the DCBL Stadium, home of Widnes Vikings, on Monday 29 January, 6.30pm. 22 semi-professional clubs from the Betfred Championship and League One entering the competition at Round 3. Those clubs will join the 10 winners of this weekend’s Round 2 ties in the hat for Round 3, with the 16 ties taking place over the weekend of 10/11 February.
