There is an abridged National Conference League schedule in place this weekend, and just one of our local sides is in action. In Division Three, Dewsbury Celtic make the trip across the Pennines to face Oldham St Annes. The match kicks off at 2.30pm. Grassroots: Trojans to host Gala Weekend, Moor triumph over Drighlington
Thornhill Trojans will host their first ever Gala Weekend on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July. The weekend features four matches of Rugby League, plus entertainment including live music, bouncy castles, fairground stalls and a barbecue. Admission is £10. For further information, call 07867 532426 or visit the event page on Facebook. Meanwhile, Dewsbury Moor were 24-18 winners against Drighlington in their National Conference League Division Two fixture last night. The win ensures Moor maintain the pressure on league leaders Stanningley.

Dewsbury Rams head coach Neil Kelly has shared his thoughts on the ‘Toronto experience’ following his side’s defeat to the Wolfpack on Saturday. Dewsbury Rams are running an initiative where businesses that put up posters to advertise Rams home fixtures will be placed in a prize draw. The third winner of the family match ticket prize is Mrs Bouquets Florist shop at the Dewsbury market. On winning the ticket, Angela Walker of Mrs Bouquets Florist said: “The posters are noticed & we are happy to support the Rams advertising initiative.
